Mais vous \u00eates-vous d\u00e9j\u00e0 demand\u00e9 comment ces m\u00e9thodes de paiement pouvaient influer sur notre fa\u00e7on de d\u00e9penser ?    <\/p>\n\n<p>Une \u00e9tude r\u00e9cente de l&rsquo;universit\u00e9 d&rsquo;Ad\u00e9la\u00efde, dirig\u00e9e par le doctorant Lachlan Schomburgk, s&rsquo;est pench\u00e9e sur cette question et a r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9 une information fascinante : les individus ont tendance \u00e0 d\u00e9penser davantage lorsqu&rsquo;ils utilisent des m\u00e9thodes de paiement sans num\u00e9raire plut\u00f4t que de l&rsquo;argent liquide.  <\/p>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-spacer\" style=\"height: 20px;\" aria-hidden=\"true\"> <\/div>\n\n<h2 id=\"h-the-cashless-effect-nbsp\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">L&rsquo;effet \u00ab\u00a0cashless\u00a0\u00bb (sans argent liquide)  <\/h2>\n\n<p>Les recherches de M. Schomburgk mettent en \u00e9vidence ce qu&rsquo;il appelle \u00ab\u00a0l&rsquo;effet cashless\u00a0\u00bb, c&rsquo;est-\u00e0-dire le fait que les consommateurs d\u00e9pensent plus lorsqu&rsquo;ils paient par voie num\u00e9rique plut\u00f4t qu&rsquo;en esp\u00e8ces. Ce ph\u00e9nom\u00e8ne est particuli\u00e8rement visible lors de l&rsquo;achat d&rsquo;articles qui indiquent un statut social, tels que les bijoux ou les produits de luxe. Pourquoi ce ph\u00e9nom\u00e8ne se produit-il ? Selon l&rsquo;\u00e9tude, la nature tangible de l&rsquo;argent liquide oblige les gens \u00e0 compter et \u00e0 remettre physiquement l&rsquo;argent, ce qui rend l&rsquo;exp\u00e9rience de la d\u00e9pense plus concr\u00e8te et, par cons\u00e9quent, plus contr\u00f4l\u00e9e. \u00c0 l&rsquo;inverse, les paiements sans num\u00e9raire sont d\u00e9pourvus de cet \u00e9change physique, ce qui peut amener les gens \u00e0 perdre de vue le montant de leurs d\u00e9penses.      <\/p>\n\n<p>Il est int\u00e9ressant de noter que cet effet ne s&rsquo;\u00e9tend pas \u00e0 tous les domaines de d\u00e9penses. L&rsquo;\u00e9tude a montr\u00e9 que les dons et les pourboires n&rsquo;\u00e9taient pas influenc\u00e9s par la m\u00e9thode de paiement utilis\u00e9e. Les m\u00e9thodes traditionnelles bas\u00e9es sur l&rsquo;argent liquide, comme les pots \u00e0 pourboire, restent tout aussi efficaces que les terminaux num\u00e9riques de point de vente pour collecter les pourboires.    <\/p>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-spacer\" style=\"height: 20px;\" aria-hidden=\"true\"> <\/div>\n\n<h2 id=\"h-why-this-matters-managing-spending-in-a-cashless-world\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Pourquoi c&rsquo;est important : G\u00e9rer les d\u00e9penses dans un monde sans argent liquide<\/h2>\n\n<p>Face \u00e0 la crise croissante du co\u00fbt de la vie, M. Schomburgk souligne que les consommateurs doivent \u00eatre attentifs aux m\u00e9thodes de paiement qu&rsquo;ils choisissent. Selon lui, le fait d&rsquo;avoir de l&rsquo;argent liquide sur soi peut \u00eatre un outil pr\u00e9cieux de ma\u00eetrise de soi lors des achats, car cela permet de d\u00e9penser de mani\u00e8re plus d\u00e9lib\u00e9r\u00e9e. Par exemple, le fait de remettre des billets et des pi\u00e8ces de monnaie donne aux gens un sentiment plus imm\u00e9diat de la transaction financi\u00e8re, ce qui peut les aider \u00e0 \u00e9viter les d\u00e9penses excessives.    <\/p>\n\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0Les consommateurs doivent \u00eatre attentifs au mode de paiement qu&rsquo;ils utilisent\u00a0\u00bb, conseille M. Celles qui n&rsquo;adoptent pas les paiements scripturaux risquent de perdre involontairement des recettes suppl\u00e9mentaires, car les clients qui ne paient pas en esp\u00e8ces ont tendance \u00e0 d\u00e9penser davantage. Ce constat est d&rsquo;autant plus pertinent que de nombreuses entreprises continuent de s&rsquo;adapter \u00e0 la demande croissante d&rsquo;options de paiement num\u00e9rique.    <\/p>\n\n<p>Les d\u00e9cideurs politiques ont \u00e9galement un r\u00f4le \u00e0 jouer dans l&rsquo;\u00e9ducation des consommateurs aux inconv\u00e9nients potentiels des paiements scripturaux.
