APG cash management would like to introduce the SMARTtill Solution with SMARTtillConnect Middleware and the back-office cloud platform, CurrentSee. SMARTtill Connect allows quick and easy integration to communicate with the intelligent cash drawer. At log-in, cashiers will instantly know the float amount in their lane. Let’s look at a cash transaction. Here we have a total cash amount of $4.16. By providing real-time cash transaction data to the middleware, discrepancies can immediately be displayed to alert the cashier. In this transaction, the cashier inserts $10 and mistakenly only takes out $5, to create a total discrepancy of 84 cents. If there is a total discrepancy at the time of logout, cashiers will be prompted to resolve their discrepancies. If the cashier is not able to resolve the discrepancy, they can validate it and end their shift. Now that our cashier’s shift is over, let’s take a look at CurrentSee, APG’s back-office cloud platform. Store owners and managers will be able to view cash transaction data from any web browser on a PC or mobile device. This is our store dashboard where we can see combined cash transaction data from each lane. You can see the current float total, total store discrepancy, drawers with discrepancies, and much more. Let’s go look at the cashier shift from earlier today. Multiple pieces of data are recorded for each transaction. We see the type of transaction and beginning float total in Start Shift ID number 188 shows a sale by cashier 10 for $4.16, where we had a total discrepancy of 84 cents. The manager can now check CCTV at the recorded time for lane one. At the end of the shift, we can see the float total as well as the total shift discrepancy. There are many more reports provided by CurrentSee that empower retailers to better manage their cash.
