And like any serious championship, the weeks before are… intense.
Picture Thelma & Louise in full preparation mode: Cash drawers and cables everywhere, boxes and screens and printers that all need to match the booth layout sketches, and on top, calendars are filling up with meetings. A checklist that somehow keeps getting longer instead of shorter.
“Do we have the demo smarttill®?”
“Yes.”
“Backup cables?”
“Yes.”
“Backup for the backup cables?”
“…Now we do.”
Meetings are flying in from all directions. Retailers. Partners. Distributors. Everyone wants a slot because this is the show of the year. Our booth agenda starts to look like airport departures at peak holiday season.
Then there’s the real priority: coffee.
Not “some coffee.”
Enough coffee to fuel meaningful conversations, spontaneous demos, and at least one late-afternoon “just one more meeting” discussion about cash automation.
Just when it feels like everything is under control, Thelma stops, mid-sip.
