In general terms, APG attends and exhibits at trade shows for three primary reasons:
- Many of the exhibitors are either customers or can be potential customers. At an exhibition, you are given the opportunity to meet and connect with them.
- You learn and begin to understand the emerging market trends.
- You can meet with the attendees, typically end users and understand what their specific requirements are for the coming months/year.
We also learned that tablet and handheld Point of Sale is starting to become a reality in Europe. With tablet POS comes the demand for small footprint drawers along with Bluetooth and Wireless interfaces.
APG serves multiple Tiers in the retail marketplace. We have established OEM relationships for the Tier 1/2/3 markets. To help reach the SMB space, we have developed a two tier channel using distribution. This year we cooperated with ScanSource and were able walk the SMB reseller and End-user to the ScanSource booth where they were able to give the smaller customer excellent care.
Our experience at Equipmag 2014, the acceptance of the new products, and the emergence of Tablet/Handheld POS in France has us very optimistic for the coming years in the French retail marketplace. APG is looking forward to Equipmag 2016.
