Out of 85 POS hardware manufacturers, only 6 had high enough scores to receive the award. “Today’s POS Vars need to be savvy enough to speak to customers about mobile solutions (including hardware, software, and security), wireless networks, hosted software, video surveillance, merchant processing, and loyalty apps,” stated the BSM editor. During September and October, BSM collected 10,833 votes from 4,300 verified reseller subscribers and scores were calculated by Penn State University for statistical accuracy. For the POS Hardware category, APG was chosen with the top criteria being Product Reliability and Product Features. Based on 7 categories, APG’s overall score qualified them as a Best Channel Vendor.
